National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration Office (NOAA)

Blythe was awarded the HVAC design and installation contract to replace the HVAC system in this 5,000 square  foot operational weather forecast office.  The facility consists of offices, an operations room and a server room.   The existing HVAC system was replaced with a new VRF system with heat recovery.  Two challenges with this facility included designing systems that can meet extreme winter conditions which regularly drop to  -30℉. Another challenge was constructing and commissioning a system in an operational and occupied weather station. One unique element of this system is the ability to recover heat from the existing server.   Blythe also performed an identical upgrade on a NOAA Weather Forecast Office in Flagstaff, AZ.
